Upside Down Chocolate Pudding

This makes a nice chocolate pudding with a rich gooey chocolate sauce - you can't get much better than that!

 
Ingredients:
Recommend this recipe to a friend

Pudding:
1 square unsweetened chocolate
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup flour
3/4 cup white sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 to 2/3 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Sauce:
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup cold water

 
Directions:

Pudding:
Melt chocolate and butter, set aside.

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla, and then chocolate mixture. Beat until smooth.

Stir in nuts. Pour the batter into an 8 inch square baking dish.

Sauce:
Mix white and brown sugar and cocoa together.

Sprinkle evenly over top of the pudding batter. Pour the water evenly over all.

Bake at 350 degrees F. for 40 to 50 minutes. Serve warm.
